Objective

To provide a clear and concise procedure for team members to effectively change the status of damaged products in the PocketScan app, ensuring accurate inventory management and minimizing errors.

Key Steps

  1. Identify the Product:

    • Walk through the store or warehouse and inspect products for any damages (dents, scratches, poor box condition).

  2. Open PocketSCAN App:

    • Launch the PocketSCAN application on your device.

  3. Access Change Status Feature:

    • Locate and click the "Change Status" button within the app.

  4. Scan Product Label:

    • When prompted, scan the label of the product you wish to change the status for.

  5. Select New Status:

    • Once the product ID appears, choose the appropriate status from the available options (e.g., boxed stock, scrapped, display item, blemished).

  6. Submit Changes:

    • After selecting the new status, click the "Submit" button to officially change the product's status.

  7. Verify Status Change:

    • Navigate to the Inventory section of the app.

    • Enter the product ID to confirm that the status has been updated correctly.

  8. Document Damage with Photo (Optional):

    • While in the change status menu, click the camera icon to take a picture of the damage.

    • Choose to either use the picture or retake it as necessary.

    • Submit the picture, which will be attached to the product's record.

  9. Final Verification:

    • Refresh the inventory screen and re-enter the product ID to ensure the image and new status are correctly displayed.
