Ensure you have access to the Pocket Scan app on your device.
Accessing the Delivery in Pocket Scan
Open the Pocket Scan app.
Navigate to the delivery area within the app.
Select the appropriate delivery date to view the scheduled deliveries.
Setting the Pick Location
Tap on the pick location option.
Enter the warehouse location (e.g., Sewell).
Confirm the location by marking it as done.
Selecting the Delivery
Once the pick location is set, the app will display available deliveries for the selected date.
Tap on the delivery that corresponds to the scheduled date.
Reviewing Delivery Items
Check the items listed for the selected delivery.
If no items are allocated, proceed to select any available item in the warehouse.
Scanning the Inventory ID
Tap on the inventory ID screen within the app.
Use the camera function to scan the inventory ID tag on the product box.
Confirm that the item has been successfully scanned (the item should turn green).
Finalizing the Scan
Ensure that all items required for the delivery have been scanned.
If needed, prepare the items for delivery or further processing.
Cautionary Notes
Always ensure that the correct delivery date is selected to avoid scanning items for the wrong delivery.
If an item is allocated for a specific order, you must find and scan that allocated item; do not pick random items in such cases.
Double-check that the scanned items are marked as completed in the app before concluding the task.
Tips for Efficiency
Familiarize yourself with the layout of the warehouse to quickly locate items.
Keep the Pocket Scan app updated to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes.
Practice scanning in a low-pressure environment to build confidence before handling actual deliveries.
If scanning multiple items, consider organizing them in batches to streamline the process.
By following these steps, team members can ensure a smooth and accurate scanning process for deliveries, minimizing errors and maximizing productivity.
