HomeSource has standard pricing available to all dealers for certain brands. There are two reasons you may need to upload your own pricing:
If HomeSource pricing doesn’t match your pricing
If HomeSource doesn’t provide standard pricing for a brand
This article will go over how to import your own pricing into the system via price sheets. This process can also be used to add new models to your system.
This article will also cover how to use your imported pricing as your default pricing in HomeSource.
Before uploading your price sheets, first make sure to check Site Settings to see if you’re subscribed to the brand you’re uploading pricing for.
The following video explains how to check which brands you’re subscribed to, and how to subscribe to brands:
If the brand is not listed in Initial Setup, then you’ll need to add the brand to you’re system. To add a brand to your system, follow the instructions in the video attached below:
Once you’ve subscribed to the brand, we can begin the process of uploading your price sheet.
Attached below is a sample price sheet for Bertazzoni - click on the document to download and view the spreadsheet:

IMPORTANT:
Price sheets have to be uploaded by individual brand if you’re adding new models to your system.
Make sure there is no spacing between rows and no extra characters or formulas in the spreadsheet and that the file is in .xlsx format
The following video explains how to upload price sheets into your system:
Note: the pricing you upload to your spreadsheet such as Cost, MSRP, MAP, Sale Price, etc. won’t appear in the main RPS grid, however it will appear under Effective Pricing in the Level tab of the model’s Product Information page, which can be accessed by selecting the model hyperlink:
In the example below, this model had pricing imported under the Cost and Sale Price fields:
Pricing will appear in the main RPS grid, however, if uploaded under the UP1-UP7 fields. This UP1-UP7 pricing won’t appear until the day after the price sheet was uploaded, as the system first needs to go through the overnight process before the pricing appears in the grid:
After you upload the price sheet, click on the View Status Here link. This will show you the status of your import. If there is a lot of data, click the Refresh button until you get the success message:
From here, click View Results. It will only list out the models that weren’t previously in your system and were created through the price sheet upload. These models will not appear in the RPS until the next day as they have to go through the overnight process.
You can view the pricing you uploaded by going to Product Pricing under Price Tags and Pricing:
From the Product Pricing page, you can filter by Manufacturer, Product Group, and by date range based on your uploaded Start and End Dates:
Now that you’ve uploaded your price sheets, the following videos explain how to set your uploaded pricing to be your default pricing and/or alternative pricing in HomeSource:
Note: When creating a new e-commerce price rule, be sure that you do not select “Save and Apply”, only click “Save.” Clicking “Save and Apply” will automatically apply the rule you created to all price tags that you filtered for.
Only select “Save and Apply” if you first filtered for the brand that you want to apply this new rule to.
Note: We have added a “UMRP” option for price levels that you can use as your alternative pricing option in HomeSource:
This is useful if you want to use your website pricing as your default pricing, but can’t list Wolf, Cove, or Sub-Zero pricing on your website.
This will allow you to base your default pricing off of your website pricing, and your pricing for Wolf, Cove, and Sub-Zero off of HomeSource’s Standard UMRP pricing.
