Importing Products to Your Plan to Sell

In this video, we walk you through the process of importing a list of products onto your plan to sell using our RPS product data grid. We explain how to access the plan to sell items, download the necessary template, and prepare your CSV file for import. You'll need to ensure that your list includes the product group and model number, as that's all that's required for a successful import.

SOP for Importing Products to Plan to Sell

This SOP outlines the steps to import a list of products into the Plan to Sell system, ensuring a streamlined process for team members.

Key Steps

Accessing the Plan to Sell Items 0:48

  • Access your list of plan to sell items from the RPS product data grid.

  • Click on the 'Plan to Sell' option.

Navigating to Import Settings 2:41

  • Go to the menu.

  • Select 'Point of Sale'.

  • Click on 'Settings'.

Setting Up Custom Plan to Sell 3:01

  • In the settings, click on the 'Plan to Sell' tab.

  • Select 'Use Custom Plan to Sell' to create a customized list.

  • Click the 'Import' button.

  • Click the link that says 'Click here to download the template'.

  • Use the RPS product data grid to search for items to add.

  • Utilize filters to find specific products (e.g., Whirlpool washers).

  • Export the filtered list as a CSV file (Excel files will not work).

  • Ensure the headers match: 'Manufacturer', 'Group', and 'Model'.

  • Change the group names as necessary (e.g., from 'Whirlpool' to 'Appliances').
