Creating Custom MAP/PMAP Columns

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Objective

To create custom price columns, specifically a separate promotional map price column and a current map price column, in order to differentiate between regular map prices and promotional map prices for products.

Key Steps

  1. Access site settings and open the cost section.

  2. Click on the "plus price level" button to add a new price column.

  3. Name the new price column (e.g., "C Pmap" for current promotional map).

  4. Specify that the column should be based on promotional map prices only.

  5. Save the new column and return to the main grid.

  6. Drag the new column to the desired location in the grid.

  7. Repeat the process to create a current map price column (e.g., "C map").

  8. Place the current map price column in the grid.

  9. Verify that the new columns display the correct prices for products with and without promotional map prices.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that the names of the custom price columns are clear and distinguishable.

  • Double-check the settings to ensure that the columns are based on the correct price data (promotional map or regular map).

  • Verify that the calculations for discounts (e.g., map minus 10%) are accurate based on the corresponding map prices.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use descriptive names for the custom price columns to easily identify their purpose.

  • Arrange the columns in the grid for easy access and comparison of prices.

  • Hide unnecessary columns to reduce clutter and confusion in the display.

  • Refer back to this SOP or the knowledge base library for any additional questions or clarifications.
