Creating an Online Customer Account

In this video, we’re explaining the recent changes to the customer inquiry section, specifically regarding the icon that converts an account to an online account. If you've used this feature before, you'll notice that we've moved the icon's position. For those who haven't used it yet, we’ll walk you through how to access it and create your online account.

Creating an Online Account from Customer Inquiry

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to convert a customer account to an online account using the Point of Sale system.

Key Steps

  1. Access Customer Inquiry 0:09

  • Navigate to the Point of Sale section.

  • Click on 'Customer Inquiry' to view the list of customers.

2. Locate the Online Account Icon 0:26

  • Find the icon that allows you to create an online account.

  • Note that the icon has been moved to a new position on the screen.

3. Create the Online Account 0:33

  • Click on the icon to initiate the account creation process.

  • Confirm by selecting 'Yes' when prompted.

  • Check your email for a message that will guide you to create your credentials.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that you have the correct customer selected before proceeding.

  • Double-check the email address associated with the account to avoid sending the credentials to the wrong person.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Familiarize yourself with the new position of the icon to save time.

  • Keep an eye on your email for the account creation link immediately after clicking 'Yes'.
