Creating Locations in Inventory Management System

Key Steps

  1. Click on the "plus location" button to create a new location.

  2. Enter the following information:

    • Full name of the business (e.g., Montgomery Superstore).

    • Short name (automatically generated based on the full name, can be edited if needed).

    • Select location type (e.g., floor for display, warehouse for storage).

    • Enter tax rate percent (optional, for tax collection at the location).

    • Provide contact information like phone number and address.

  3. Click "save" to save the location details.

  4. Use the "warehouse location" button to add specific areas within the warehouse.

  5. Click on "plus warehouse location" to create new warehouse locations.

  6. Enter details such as aisle or bin number, square footage, and unit capacity.

  7. Click "update" to save the warehouse location.
