Assigning Inventory Model Status Types to Extended Service Contracts (ESCs)

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to assign Inventory Model Status types to Extended Service Contracts (ESCs) in the system.

Key Steps

  1. Access Site Settings 0:00

  • Click the gear icon at the top of the screen.

  • Select the 'Extended Service Contracts' tab.

2. Edit Status 0:13

  • Click the 'Edit' button.

  • Locate the 'Status' dropdown menu.

3. Select Status Type 0:25

  • If you leave the status blank, the ESC will show for every status of the model.

  • To limit visibility, select a specific status (e.g., 'obsolete').

  • You can select more than one status per model if needed.

4. Update Statuses 0:40

  • After selecting the desired statuses, click the 'Update' button to save your changes.

  • Ensure that the selected statuses accurately reflect the model's condition to avoid confusion.
