In this video, we’re excited to share a new feature that allows you to add an expiration date to an extended service contract after the order has been invoiced. We demonstrate how to select the expiration date, which can be set from the invoice date to today.

Adding Expiration Date to Extended Service Contract

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to add an expiration date to an extended service contract after the order has been invoiced.

Key Steps

Step 1: Access the Extended Service Contract (ESC) Icon 0:00

  • Locate and click on the ESC icon to initiate the process of adding an extended service contract.

  • Ensure that the order has already been invoiced.

Step 2: Select the Extended Service Contract 0:14

  • From the options available, select the appropriate extended service contract that needs to be modified.

Step 3: Choose the Expiration Date 0:27

  • Click into the expiration date field.

  • Select a date that is after the invoice date and up to today's date.

Step 4: Apply the Expiration Date 0:41

  • After selecting the expiration date, click the 'apply' button to confirm your selection.

Step 5: Complete Payment for the ESC 0:54

  • If the ESC icon is red, it indicates that payment is required.

  • Proceed to make the payment for the extended service contract to finalize the process.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that the expiration date selected is valid and complies with company policies.

  • Double-check the invoice date to avoid selecting an incorrect expiration date.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Familiarize yourself with the ESC interface to speed up the selection process.

  • Keep a calendar handy to quickly reference today's date when selecting the expiration date.
