Adding ESCs (Extended Service Contracts)

Updated over a month ago

Under your Point of sale Settings, there is a tab for Maintaining your ESCs.

To create a New ESC click on the “+Extended Service Contract” button.

Select the covered Product group, and Category type. If the ESC covers all product Categories, you can select “none”. Next you will need a unique model for each contract level. If you have a list from your ESC provider then use the models from your list. Enter the description you would like to show on the invoices. And a number of months for the contract duration.

Our Thresholds are “greater than” a certain selling price. So You may want to start with 1 dollar for your first threshold. You are most likely going to need multiple ESC levels entered. See below.

Fill in the sale price and cost. Leave the tax rate alone to allow the tax to automatically be calculated. If you have a special tax rate for ESCs then you can override the regular tax rate here. Finally the Online /offline is for whether you have a website with us and you want the ESC prices displayed. Then click the “Update” button on the left.

Example of Thresholds:

If you sell a washer at 300-599 dollars, it will offer the first contract at 136.99

if you sell a washer at 600-999 dollars, it will offer the second contract at 167.99
