Set up Promos for MISC Items on your Website

ECOM promos can now be set up for MISC items, which must first be listed as delivery products under ECOM Settings β†’ Shipping and Installation. Additionally, promos with no specific items can be created and applied to any cart, valid once per transaction.

Creating E-Com Promotions for Delivery and Installation

Key Steps

  1. Navigate to eCommerce Settings:

    • Go to the eCommerce section.

    • Under settings, locate the shipping and installation tab.

  2. Set Standard Delivery and Installation Fees:

    • Fill in the fields for standard delivery and installation fees.

    • Include the standard delivery product fee, base in-home delivery product fee, additional standard install product fee, and additional in-home install product fee.

  3. Create Miscellaneous Items:

    • Create miscellaneous items like delivery fees or installation charges before applying them to promotions.

    • Click on the miscellaneous plus miscellaneous item to create a new item.

    • Enter details such as brand, classification, model, and description.

    • Save the created miscellaneous item.

  4. Apply Free Delivery Promotion:

    • Add a miscellaneous item named "Free Delivery Promo."

    • Select the created free delivery promo item and click done.

    • Remember to save the changes.

  5. Set Standard Delivery Fee Threshold:

    • Enter the standard delivery fee.

    • Define a standard delivery fee threshold (e.g., $10,000) for applying charges based on product or total value.

    • Save the settings.

  6. Build the Promotion:

    • Go to the menu, click on eCommerce, and select Promos.

    • Click on plus new promo to create a new promotion.

    • Enter a promo code, start and end dates, and select the promo item (miscellaneous item).

    • Add a qualifying miscellaneous item with no-charge fee for the promotion.

    • Save the promotion details.

  7. Customer Checkout Process:

    • Customers can enter the promotional code at checkout to apply the free delivery promotion.

    • Ensure the customer understands how to enter the code and click apply for the promotion to take effect.

  • Always save changes after adding or editing any information in the eCommerce settings.

  • Double-check all details entered to avoid errors in promotions and fees.

  • Ensure that the standard delivery fee threshold is set correctly to apply charges accurately.
