Setting Up Conversations in Home Source Systems

  1. Access Conversations Settings 0:11

  • Navigate to the menu.

  • Select 'Conversations'.

  • Go to the 'Settings' section.

2. Add Texting Phone Number 0:22

  • Click the 'Add Setting' button.

  • Choose the location for the phone number.

  • Enter the phone number for that location.

  • Optionally, set up auto-replies (e.g., 'Thanks for contacting us.').

  • Assign a default team member for texting.

  • Click 'Save' to store the information.

3. Understand Texting Account Requirements 1:40

  • Ensure you have a texting account with Home Source.

  • A phone number will be assigned upon signing up for conversations.

  • Existing one-way texting accounts can be converted.

4. Set Up Pre-Produced Messages 2:13

  • Navigate to the 'Can Messages' tab.

  • Create pre-produced messages for customer responses (e.g., 'Thank you', 'Unavailable').

  • Assign messages to individuals or teams.

5. Web Widgets for Future Use 2:46

  • Note that the 'Web Widgets' tab is for future texting capabilities on your website.

  • Currently under development.

6. Save Changes in Settings 3:12

  • Always click 'Save' in the general settings area before leaving.

7. Update Individual Profile Settings 3:24

  • Click on 'My Profile'.

  • Find the new 'Conversations' area.

  • Adjust print size and default color settings.

  • Ensure 'Show Quick Action Pop Up' is checked for easy access.

8. Save Profile Changes 4:16

  • Click the blue 'Save' button to save any changes made in your profile.
