Updated over 3 weeks ago

In this video, we walk you through the process of merging sales tags in the Point of Sales Settings. By merging similar tags, we can streamline our order tracking and reduce duplicates, making our workflow more efficient. We demonstrate how to select tags and confirm the merge, which is a simple yet effective way to keep our system organized.

Merging Sales Tags in Point of Sale System

Key Steps

  1. Access Point of Sale Settings

    • Navigate to the main dashboard of the POS system.

    • Click on the Settings option.

    • Select the Sales Tags tab from the settings menu.

  2. Identify the Tag to Merge

    • Review the list of existing sales tags.

    • Locate the tag that you wish to merge with another.

  3. Initiate the Merge Process

    • Next to the selected tag, click on the Merge button.

    • A list of similar tags will appear for selection.

  4. Select the Tag to Merge With

    • From the list of similar tags, choose the tag you want to merge with.

    • Confirm your selection by clicking on the chosen tag.

  5. Confirm the Merge

    • A prompt will appear asking, β€œDo you want to merge this tag?”

    • Choose Yes to proceed with the merge or No to cancel the action.

  6. Completion of Merge

    • Upon confirmation, the tags will merge successfully.

    • The merged tag will now appear as the new tag in the sales tags list.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that you are merging tags that serve the same purpose to avoid confusion in order tracking.

  • Double-check the tags selected for merging to prevent accidental loss of important data.

  • Merging is irreversible; once tags are merged, they cannot be separated.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Regularly review and clean up sales tags to maintain an organized system.

  • Consider scheduling periodic audits of sales tags to identify potential merges before they become cumbersome.

  • Utilize a naming convention for tags to make it easier to identify similar tags for merging.

  • Train team members on this SOP to ensure everyone is familiar with the process, reducing errors and increasing productivity.

By following these steps, team members can efficiently merge sales tags in the POS system, leading to improved order tracking and reduced duplicates.
