In this video, we guide you through identifying customers who didn't purchase extended service contracts post-sale, using the ESC Opportunities Report. We demonstrate how to generate personalized letters for ESC pitches and manage multiple solicitations efficiently. Additionally, we explain the crucial ESC solicitation setup process for customizing offers based on manufacturer criteria.

Extended Service Contract (ESC) Solicitation Process

Key Steps:

  1. Identifying Customers without ESC Purchase:

    • Navigate to Reports > Report of Sale > ESC tab.

    • Click on the ESC Opportunities tab to view customers who did not purchase an ESC.

  2. Sending Solicitation Letters:

    • Click on the Share Letter button to generate a pre-built email pitch for ESC purchase.

    • Review the cover letter with ESC details and payment options.

    • Select customers and click Send to dispatch multiple letters at once.

  3. Configuring ESC Solicitation Settings:

    • Access ESC solicitation settings under Point of Sale Settings > ESC Solicitation tab.

    • Customize solicitation options, brochure format, print settings, expiration period, allowed credit cards, and solicitation email address.

    • Enter cover page information, format text, and define ESC policies and pricing.

  4. Setting Up ESC Solicitation Details:

    • Define ESC pricing based on product criteria (e.g., manufacturer, price range, warranty duration).

    • Create new ESC solicitations by clicking on the plus sign and entering relevant details.

    • Save and update ESC solicitation details for accurate pricing information.

Cautionary Notes:

  • Ensure accurate customer selection before sending solicitation letters.

  • Verify email address for sending solicitation emails.

  • Double-check ESC pricing details to avoid errors in solicitation.

Tips for Efficiency:

  • Use the bulk send feature to dispatch multiple letters simultaneously.

  • Customize brochure colors and fonts to match your store branding.
