In the following video, we discuss the use of sales tags when tracking items for sales, promotional or other reasons. We explain how to create the sales tags under Point-of-Sale settings.

Creating and Applying Sales Tags

Objective

The objective of this SOP is to create and apply sales tags to track items on quotes, orders, service requests, and purchase orders for effective monitoring and analysis.

Key Steps

  1. Access the point of sales settings and navigate to the sales tags tab.

  2. To create a new sales tag, click on the "+ tag" button.

  3. Enter the tag name and select the sale type (quote, order, service request, or purchase order).

  4. Click on "Save" to create the sales tag.

  5. To apply a sales tag to an item, select the desired tag from the list of created tags.

  6. Apply the tag to the item by clicking on the sales tags icon and selecting the tag.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that the correct tag name and sale type are selected when creating a new sales tag.

  • Double-check the applied sales tags to items to avoid mislabeling or inaccuracies in tracking.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Pre-create commonly used sales tags to streamline the tagging process.

  • Regularly review and update sales tags to maintain accurate tracking of items.

  • Utilize advanced filters in sales performance reports to analyze data based on specific sales tags.
