Adding Sales Tags to PO Requests

In this video, we demonstrate how we've simplified the process of attaching sales tags to purchase order requests. By linking sales tags from orders to purchase order requests, it becomes much easier to manage and locate them. We walk through the steps of creating and applying a sales tag, and we encourage you to try this out in your own workflow.

Creating and Managing Purchase Order Requests with Sales Tags

Key Steps

  1. Access Open Order 0:00

  • Navigate to the open order section in your system.

  • Identify the order for which you want to create a sales tag.

  1. Create a Sales Tag 0:11

  • Click on the 'Apply Sales Tags' option.

  • Create a new sales tag by entering a name (e.g., 'Builder').

  • Save the new sales tag for future use.

  1. Apply Sales Tag to Line Item 0:20

  • Go to the line item of the order.

  • Click on the 'Add Tags' icon.

  • Select the newly created sales tag (e.g., 'Builder') and apply it to the line item.

  • Save the changes to the line item.

  1. Request a Purchase Order 0:40

  • Click on the 'Request Purchase Order' option.

  • Select the item that you want to request a purchase order for.

  • Click on 'Request' to initiate the purchase order request.

  1. View Purchase Order Requests with Tags 0:50

  • Navigate to the 'Purchase Order Requests' section.

  • Look for the order that has the sales tag attached.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that sales tags are consistently named to avoid confusion.

  • Double-check that the correct sales tag is applied to the appropriate line item before requesting a purchase order.
