The following video discusses completing a physical inventory using the system in place to ensure accuracy and confidence in inventory levels. We examine preparation for inventory completion, completing physical inventory, reviewing completed inventory, analyzing inventory results and the benefits of regular inventory checks.
Completing a Physical Inventory
Key Steps
Scan all items that need to be inventoried.
Correct any bad scans.
Mark penbeams as manual transfer or ignore them.
Ensure all corrections are made and most items are showing as fully green or blue in the system.
Click on "Complete Physical Inventory" to finalize the process.
If the run is not fully completed, you may still choose to complete it.
Export the data for future reference and analysis.
Cautionary Notes
Aim to have a completion percentage of 100% before finalizing the physical inventory run.
In cases where 100% completion is not possible, it is still permissible to complete the run.
Ensure all corrections are made accurately to maintain inventory integrity.
Tips for Efficiency
Regularly conduct physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy and confidence levels.
Utilize the system to track progress and correct errors in real-time.
Export data for further analysis and comparison over time.
Break down physical inventories into smaller, manageable tasks through cycle counts for increased efficiency and accuracy.
