Sales tax can be overridden using the tax settings function of the change price action button.
Click the Menu icon
2. Expand the Point of Sale menu
3. Select Quotes or Orders
4. Select the customer by clicking the Bill To Customer icon
5. Search for and select the customer
6. Add items by clicking the Add Items button. Select the product(s), click Done.
7. Click the change price icon (calculator)
Note: Some settings may not be available based on user permission
Tax Settings:
Taxable? - Selecting the Taxable option allows you to exclude miscellaneous taxes and override the current tax rate from the overall total.
Exclude Misc Tax - Excludes any taxes deemed as miscellaneous (ex: recycling tax, white goods tax, etc.) from the overall total.
Override Tax - Allows for overriding the existing tax rate by percentage and displays the adjusted tax amount.
8. If the tax rate was adjusted, click Apply before saving order or quote.
Click Reset to return to original tax amounts.
