Locating the Terminal Host Name on Genius

In order to setup a Genius terminal you will have to provide a host name or IP address from the Genius terminal to RPS. To locate this, press 000 on the key pad of you Genius device. An Admin prompt will appear on the terminal screen. Enter in 9416557 and press the enter key on the key pad. The Admin page will appear on the terminal screen. Locate the IP address at the top of the screen. Use that IP address to enter in the “Host Name” input while setting up the terminal.

Important: Make sure the terminal’s screen is off the admin screen information when you attempt to add the Terminal to RPS.

Finishing up.

Test to make sure the terminal is working correctly by clicking the check status button. Terminal information will appear here and the current screen. Note the screen preview image may be different from your device.

Finally, navigate to a payment screen in RPS and verify that you can take a payment on the terminal.
