Setting Up Advanced Postings by Individual Model Number or Miscellaneous Line Item
Objective:
To set up advanced postings for individual model numbers or miscellaneous line items in order to customize revenue, cost of merchandise, and inventory accounts based on specific criteria.
Key Steps:
For Individual Model Numbers:
Navigate to the inventory model section.
Locate the model you want to adjust and expand it.
Click on the "GL accounts" button if you have permission.
Override the revenue account, cost of merchandise account, and/or inventory account for the individual unit.
Save the changes.
Use the history button to track changes if needed.
For Miscellaneous Items:
Go to the miscellaneous items section.
Choose the item you want to adjust.
Click on the "GL accounts" button.
Select the revenue account for the miscellaneous item based on location.
Save the changes.
