Placing LEO Orders

The following video discusses handling LEO orders. It explores the attributes of a LEO order and the steps in placing a LEO order.

How to Create a LEO Order for Direct Ordering with ADC

Overview

A LEO (Locate/Locate Exception Order) is used when you want to order a product that is not currently carried by ADC. While the ordering process is similar to placing a standard direct order, LEO orders are not guaranteed to be fulfilled, as product availability must first be confirmed.

Method 1: Create a LEO Order from Search Results

Step 1: Search for the Product

  • Search for the product you want to order.

  • If the product is not carried by ADC, it will be eligible for a LEO order.

Step 2: Select Order Now

  • Click Order Now next to the product, just as you would for a normal direct order.

Step 3: Confirm You're Creating a LEO Order

A LEO order screen will appear. You'll notice:

  • A yellow background

  • The word LEO displayed prominently at the top

These visual indicators confirm that you're creating a LEO order, not a standard direct order.

Note: LEO orders are requests only. Because the product is not stocked by ADC, there is no guarantee the item can be sourced or fulfilled.

Step 4: Complete the Order

  • Review or update any order fields as needed.

  • Click Place LEO Order to submit your request.

Method 2: Create a LEO Order from the Product Detail Page

Step 1: Open the Product Details

  • Click the product to open its Detail View.

Step 2: Select LEO

  • Instead of an Order Now button, you'll see a LEO button.

  • Click LEO.

Step 3: Submit the Order

  • The same LEO order screen will appear.

  • Review the order information.

  • Click Place LEO Order to submit.

Summary

You can create a LEO order in two ways:

  1. From the search results by selecting Order Now.

  2. From the product detail page by selecting LEO.

In both cases:

  • The LEO order screen is identified by a yellow background and LEO heading.

  • Review your order information.

  • Click Place LEO Order to submit.

Important Reminder

LEO orders are intended for products not carried by ADC. Because these items must be sourced separately, submission of a LEO order does not guarantee the product will be available or fulfilled.
