SOP: Ordering from RPS Grid
Objective
To efficiently order items directly from the RPS grid or add items to a purchase order for buy groups that do not have the direct order feature.
Key Steps
Direct Order from RPS Grid:
Check if your buy group allows direct ordering by looking for the "Order Now" button on the RPS screen.
Click on the "Order Now" button when you see low inventory or need to secure an item.
Fill in the required information on the Order Now screen.
Click "Place Order" to send the order to your buy group for execution.
Adding to Purchase Order:
If your buy group does not support direct ordering, click on the model number in the information screen.
Look for the "Order Now" button and click on it if available.
Alternatively, use the "Add to Purchase Order" button to add items to a purchase order.
Ensure you have permissions to add to purchase orders; if not, communicate with the designated person in your organization for ordering.
Cautionary Notes
The availability of the "Order Now" feature may vary depending on the buy group you are working with.
Some buy groups may not have the direct order feature, so be prepared to use alternative methods for ordering.
Tips for Efficiency
