Managing Stock levels for Top Selling Accessories

In this video, we guide you through the process of managing inventory for top-selling accessories like water filters and grill covers. By using the Sales Ranking Report, setting minimums and maximums in Model Inventory, and understanding purchase orders, we ensure we always have the right stock levels.

This process has three main steps:

  1. Use the Sales Ranking Report to identify your most popular items.

  2. Set Min/Max levels for those items in Model Inventory.

  3. Use the Order Requirements screen to determine how much to order and add it to a purchase order.

1. Find Your Top-Selling Items with Sales Ranking

  1. Click the Menu icon.

  2. Click Point of Sale.

  3. Click Reports.

  4. Click Sales Ranking.

Narrow Down Your Results

Use Advanced Filters to focus your report:

  1. Under Category, select Appliance, Accessories, and Parts.

  2. Set your Date Range (for example, Year to Date).

  3. Change the report to show Quantity instead of Dollar Amount by selecting Dollar Amount → Show Quantity.

This will display your top accessories and parts by quantity sold. In this example, a specific water filter model stood out as a big seller, making it a good candidate for maintaining consistent stock.

2. Set Minimum and Maximum Levels in Model Inventory

Once you've identified a high-demand item, set minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure it's always available.

  1. Click the Menu icon.

  2. Go to Inventory.

  3. Select Model Inventory.

  4. Search for the model you want to update.

  5. Click the black arrow next to the brand.

  6. Click the Min-Max button.

  7. Set your Minimum (for example, 20).

  8. Set your Maximum (for example, 50).

  9. Click Save.

3. Use Order Requirements to Create a Purchase Order

  1. Click the Menu icon.

  2. Go to Purchase Orders.

  3. Click Order Requirements.

  4. Click the Stock Levels tab.

  5. Select your location (for example, All Locations).

  6. Select your category (Appliance, Accessories, and Parts).

  7. Enter the model number.

The screen will show your current stock status, for example:

  • On Hand: 0

  • Allocated: 0

  • On Order: 0

  • Minimum Required: 20

  • Quantity to Order: 20

Add the Item to a Purchase Order

  1. Select the item.

  2. Click Add to Purchase Order.

  3. Choose the purchase order you want to add it to.

Summary

  • Use the Sales Ranking Report to identify your most popular items to keep in stock.

  • Set Minimum and Maximum levels for those models in Model Inventory.

  • Use the Order Requirements screen to see how many units you have on hand and how many you need to order, then add the item directly to a purchase order.
