SOP: Creating E-commerce Catalogs, Tags, and Banners

Objective

The objective of this SOP is to guide the user through the process of creating e-commerce catalogs, tags, and banners in the e-commerce settings.

Key Steps

  1. Creating a Catalog Tag:

    • Click on the plus catalog tag button in the e-commerce tag tab.

    • Fill out the information for the catalog tag (name, description, start and end dates).

    • Create a URL for the catalog and attach a banner.

    • Choose colors for descriptions and backgrounds.

    • Upload banner for the icon and detail tag icon.

    • Set up meta tags if needed or use global settings.

    • Save the catalog tag.

  2. Adding Products to the Catalog:

    • Navigate to the products section.

    • Edit the products you want to add to the catalog.

    • Attach the catalog tag to the products.

    • Update pricing for the products.

    • Save the changes.

  3. Viewing the Catalog:

    • Return to the e-commerce settings and e-com tag section.

    • View the products added to the catalog.

    • Click on the share option to view how the catalog will appear on the website.

  4. Adding a Banner to the Website:

    • Click on the plus banner button.

    • Fill out the banner details (title, URL, start and end dates).

    • Upload the banner files with specified dimensions for website and mobile application.

    • Save the banner.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure all information entered is accurate to avoid errors in the catalog and banner display.

  • Double-check the pricing and product attachments to the catalog to ensure accuracy.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Download and prepare banner files in advance to streamline the process.

  • Utilize the copy function for URLs to easily paste them in the required fields.

  • Regularly update the catalog with new items and remove outdated ones to keep the website content fresh and relevant.
