Adding Payment Types

A payment type represents a credit card or finance company to use for payment. Your account will be set up with the popular credit card types. Other credit card types can be added. Inactive credit cards can be deactivated so that they are not given as a payment option.

Note: Having a payment type active does not mean you are authorized to charge those payment types with your merchant account (Ex: American Express or Discover). Please make sure you only make active the card types you are authorized to charge.

  1. Click the Menu icon

2. Click and expand Point of Sale

3. Click Settings

4. Click the Payments tab

5. Click + Credit Card Type

6. Enter the credit card name in the Name field

7. Click Update

8. Click Activate, Web Activate or both if applicable

Note: Activate activates the card for in-store credit card payments. Web Activate activates the card for online payments.
