Adding and Viewing Notes on a Payment

Payment notes can be added to a payment to notify others why certain transactions have taken place.

  1. Click the Menu icon

  1. Expand the Point of Sale menu

  2. Select Orders

  3. Create an order by selecting a customer and adding items

  4. Click Save Order

  1. Click the Take Payment button

  1. Select the Payment Method and enter the payment amount in the amount field

  1. Click the Attach Note button

Select the Note Type (Text Note or Rich Note)

Note: Rich formatting options, such as bold, underline, italics, or adding an image, provide a wider range of editing possibilities.

Enter notes in the notes field. Click Apply

Viewing Notes

Notes can be viewed on the payment detail report, customer inquiry and the payment report.

Payment Detail:

  1. Click the Share and Print button

  1. Check the Payment Detail box

  1. Click Print

Customer Inquiry:

  1. Click the Customer Inquiry icon

  1. Click the Payment Log tab

  1. Click the order Payment Note in the Action column

Payment Report:

  1. Click Reports from the Point of Sale menu

  1. Click the Payment tab

  1. Click the order Payment Note in the Action column
