SOP: Viewing Allocations Fulfilled by Multiple Purchase Orders
Purpose
This procedure explains how to view inventory allocations and identify when an allocated line item has been fulfilled using multiple purchase orders. This feature provides greater visibility into allocation sources and helps users better understand how inventory has been assigned.
Procedure
1. Navigate to Model Inventory
Open the Inventory module.
Navigate to Model Inventory.
Search for and select the desired inventory item.
Example:
KitchenAid Microwave
2. Open Allocation Details
Locate the Allocation column for the selected inventory item.
Click the allocation hyperlink.
Example:
If the allocation count displays as β3,β click the hyperlink to open the allocation details.
3. Review Allocation Information
Review the list of allocations displayed for the inventory item.
Each allocation will display:
Allocation details
Associated purchase order source
4. Identify Allocations Fulfilled by Multiple Purchase Orders
Look for allocations labeled as Multiple.
The Multiple designation indicates that the allocated quantity was fulfilled using inventory from more than one purchase order.
