SOP: Sharing and Printing from a Service Request Screen
Objective:
To efficiently share and print service requests with all necessary details for customer reference and internal record-keeping.
Key Steps:
Open the service request screen and ensure all necessary information such as trip charges and parts added are included.
Navigate to the bottom of the screen to access the share and print window.
In the share and print window, customize the print settings by selecting the placement of disclaimers, adjusting print size and style, and choosing which details to include (e.g., model number, price, service history).
Check off options such as pre-diagnosis, payment details, and linked work orders as needed.
Set up follow-up reminders and compose an email with a subject and note for the customer.
Enter the customer's email address at the designated field.
Preview the print layout by clicking on the print button before sending it to the printer or via email.
Cautionary Notes:
Ensure all necessary information is accurately filled out before proceeding with printing or sharing the service request.
Double-check the email address to avoid sending the print to the wrong recipient.
Review the print preview to confirm that all essential details are included and formatted correctly.
Tips for Efficiency:
Utilize the customization options in the share and print window to tailor the printout to the specific needs of the customer.
Save time by pre-selecting common options that are typically required for service requests.
Encourage service techs to fill out additional details on the printout for comprehensive documentation when necessary.
