SOP: Direct Transfer Process in Home Source Systems

Objective

The objective of this SOP is to guide team members on how to perform direct transfers from both the model inventory screen and the serial inventory screen in Home Source Systems. Direct transfers involve physically moving products from one location to another and updating the computer system accordingly.

Key Steps

  1. Model Inventory Screen Direct Transfer:

    • Filter products based on the criteria you want to transfer.

    • Select the product you want to transfer.

    • Click on the "Transfer" button (bulk transfer or transfer of the selected item).

    • Choose the new location for the product.

    • Review the transfer details and confirm the transfer.

  2. Serial Inventory Screen Direct Transfer:

    • Use filters to locate the product by serial number.

    • Select the specific product you want to transfer.

    • Click on the truck button to initiate the transfer.

    • Choose the new location for the product.

    • Review the transfer details and confirm the transfer.

Cautionary Notes

  • Direct transfers are for immediate product movements, not for creating transfer requests.

  • Ensure the correct product and location are selected before confirming the transfer.

  • Double-check the transfer details to avoid errors in product movement.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use filters to narrow down product search results for quicker selection.

  • Utilize the bulk transfer option for transferring multiple items at once.

  • Regularly update the system with direct transfers to maintain accurate inventory records.

By following these steps, team members can efficiently perform direct transfers in Home Source Systems to update product locations accurately and maintain inventory integrity.
