Creating Rejection Types for Ups
Key Steps
Access the gatekeeper settings to find rejection types for ups.
Understand the standard reasons for rejecting an up, such as lack of interest, not being a customer, or being an employee/vendor.
Determine if a note is required when rejecting an up, based on personal preference.
Decide whether the salesperson should be moved to the bottom of the lineup after rejecting an up.
Create a new rejection type by clicking on the "plus rejection option" button.
Enter the reason for rejection and specify if a note is required or if the salesperson should be dropped in the lineup.
Check the appropriate box for "note required" or "drop in lineup position" (yes or no).
Click on "update" and save the general settings.
Cautionary Notes
Ensure that rejection types are accurately selected to maintain a clear distinction between potential customers and non-customers.
Encourage team members to provide detailed notes when rejecting an up to facilitate coaching opportunities and improve understanding of rejection reasons.
Tips for Efficiency
Regularly review and update rejection types to align with changing business needs and customer interactions.
Encourage open communication within the team regarding rejection reasons to enhance the overall sales process and customer experience.
