The objective of this SOP is to guide team members on how to effectively set up and manage a budget using the HomeSource Systems budgeting tool. This includes creating a budget, inputting data, importing historical data, consolidating information, and finalizing the budget for use.
Key Steps
Access the budgeting tool by navigating to the menu, then selecting "General Ledger" and choosing the "Budget" option.
Give the budget a name and select the year you want to budget for.
Choose whether to create a budget for individual departments or all departments.
Select the reporting time periods (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually).
Generate the budget to start filling out the data.
Fill out the budget by entering numbers for each account per month.
